Derek Conover received his B.S. from Loyola University, DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, and has also completed the MBA program in Healthcare Management at Penn’s Wharton School. He has served as an associate instructor on the faculty of Penn Dental Medicine, interned as a Board of Trustees fellow at the West Chester non-profit healthcare clinic CVIM, and is on staff at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Conover is currently active with the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Philadelphia County Dental Society, where he serves on the Board of Governors.
He takes great pride in the level of care our team can deliver and in our shared dedication to continuing education. Voted Best of Philly for 3 years running, and is a member of several study clubs in Philadelphia, including the Spear Study Club, which reviews complex/comprehensive cases with colleagues from several dental specialties. He travels extensively for advanced, hands-on training and is passionate about the latest advances in dental materials and technologies. No case is too simple or too complex, and with experience comes the ability to provide high-quality care through a wide range of treatment options.
Dereck lives in Philadelphia with his wife Joanna and two children – Margot and Simon. He doesn’t have much time for hobbies outside the office but is on a never-ending quest to make the perfect cup of coffee.
